So, the last three days, my office has been in all-day training sessions to learn Revit.  In and of itself, not bad.  However, I've used the program some before, so a lot of what we covered was review.  Good review, but review nonetheless.  So I got bored a lot.  Add to this the fact that, in addition to knowing my way around the program already, that I'm pretty fast at picking up new skills, and I was finishing the practice exercises in a fraction of the time allotted.

Which lead to some interesting doodles in my course book.  Only a couple are even remotely worth sharing, but I'll see if I can't scan them and load them up.

P.S. Waking up at 6 when I don't normally wake up until 7:20 blows serious rice cakes.  >_<

Steppin' on out

So, today marks a new chapter in my slowly progressing life as an artist.  For the longest time, my art has been heavily influenced by anime.  However, I've always admired those who can paint with any sense of realism.  I've also wanted a Wacom tablet so I could try my hand at it as well.  Well, I finally got my tablet (an itty bitty Bamboo!  It's so cute!), so now, I have no excuse but to bravely stride forward and start changing my style.  I've been looking through anatomy books, but I really want to take a figure drawing class.  (I just don't want to have to pay a few hundred dollars to take one at the local CC...)

"Josephine" is my very first attempt at digital painting...  She's...not horrid?  ^__^()

*sigh*  Practice practice practice...
